
Born in Barbados, Yewande Omotoso grew up in Nigeria before moving to South Africa in 1992. Yewande is passionate about young people reading. She believes there are numerous stories to tell and that there is a need for young aFricans to write and populate the world with their many and varied voices. She is currently based in Cape Town where she works as a designer, freelance writer and novelist. Her first novel, Bom Boy, published by Modjaji, is shortlisted for The Sunday Times Fiction Award.
