
Sylvia Schlettwein was born on 16 November 1975 in Omaruru/ Namibia. She grew up in Stellenbosch/ South Africa, Katima Mulilo/ Namibia and Windhoek/ Namibia. Sylvia holds a BA-Degree in German and French of the University of Cape Town and Master’s degree in German and French Language and Literature form the University of Stuttgart. She owns the Language Studio in Windhoek where she teaches German, English, Afrikaans and French to adults and children.
She writes short fiction and poetry in English, German and Afrikaans. Her latest publication is “Bullies, Beasts and Beauties”, a collection of short stories co-authored with Isabella Morris.
Sylvia lives in Windhoek with her husband and their three daughters.
