Calling All African Writers!<\/h3>\n

Short Story Day Africa in partnership with the Goethe Institut invite submissions to attend a series of one day workshops in the following cities:<\/p>\n

Johannesburg, South Africa<\/strong> | 18 June 2016<\/p>\n

Lagos, Nigeria<\/strong> | 18 June 2016<\/p>\n

Nairobi, Kenya<\/strong> | 18 June 2016<\/p>\n

Windhoek, Namibia<\/strong> | 18 June 2016<\/p>\n

Yaound\u00e9, Cameroon<\/strong> | 18 June 2016<\/p>\n

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia<\/strong> | 25 June 2016<\/p>\n

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania<\/strong> | 25 June 2016<\/p>\n

Writers working on entries for the prestigious 2016 Short Story Day Africa Prize, or wanting to begin drafting an entry for the prize, are invited to submit an application.<\/p>\n

Send a 200 word sample of your original writing, along with a short biographical statement of no more than 100 words, to info@shortstorydayafrica.org<\/a> no later than 1 June 2016, with the subject line: Migrations Flow<\/strong>.  The writing sample need not be from your Migrations entry, but must be unpublished. Please read the Terms and Conditions below carefully before applying.<\/p>\n

The workshop is free for selected participants, however space is limited. Successful applicants will be notified by 5 June 2016.<\/p>\n
